Welcome to Wild Onion City!

There are fantastic street style sites for dozens of cities worldwide: Helsinki, Tokyo, LA, London, Stockholm, the list goes on... But for some strange reason Chicago is sort of sheepishly twiddling its thumbs. Why? Chicagoans are as diverse and vibrant as urbanites anyplace else, and I personally am constantly inspired by what I see on Chicago city streets. I hope this blog will become a go-to source for all parties interested in Chicago street style.

A note on the title of the blog:
It's derived from the Native American name given to the area before it was settled. Apparently "Checagou" refers to swamplands brimming with wild onion and garlic plants (which naturally would have been my first choice for a permanent settlement...) so I thought I'd give that little bit of history a nice shout out. So anyway, enjoy!
